Billy Lloyd Meadows of Madison, MS passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the age of 82. He was born on August 13, 1942, in Hattiesburg, MS and grew up in Jackson, MS where he graduated from Central High School. A U.S. Army Veteran, he retired from Headquarters MS Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Carlene “Cee” Meadows of Madison; sons Chris Meadows (Carla) of Union, Ky; Scott Meadows (Lori) of Reston, VA; and five grandchildren (Emily Cyr (Ivan), Addison Meadows, Darby Meadows (Jesse), and Mary Catherine Meadows.)
He was preceded in death by his parents Myrtle McRaney Meadows and Lloyd Wilson Meadows of Jackson, MS; brother Lyonel (Shirley); brother Kenneth (Inez); and sister Etoyle.
A member of First Baptist Church of Madison, he was an original member of the church security team. When not involved with church activities, Bill and Cee could be found cruising in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, or Gulf of America.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Dominic and The Madison Health and Rehab facility for the compassion during Bill’s extended illness. Additionally, the support and caring shown by members of First Baptist Church family have been exceptional.
Visitation is scheduled for Parkway Funeral in Ridgeland on January 23, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a 1:00 pm funeral service. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
