

Carol was born in Hattiesburg, MS on September 25, 1941 to Thelma and John Rice Freeman, Jr. She attended Hattiesburg High School, Class of 1959, and went on to the University of Mississippi Nursing School, where she later taught and received a Master’s Degree.
Carol married Otto Rosenkranz, and together they had one son, Jeffrey Rosenkranz. She worked as a nurse at several different locations throughout central Mississippi, being mainly involved in public health and obstetrics. She retired from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing and later worked at Methodist Hospital and CMMC in Continuing Education and Home Health Quality Control. She finally retired from Rankin County Medical Center’s Home Health Program. Carol was a member of the Nurses Association of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as being a past item writer for the National League for Nursing.
Mrs. Rosenkranz was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband, Otto S. Rosenkranz; her son, Jeff and his wife, Donieale; and her sister, Connie Flowers.
Funeral services will be held at Wright & Ferguson, on High Street in Jackson, on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at Wright & Ferguson on High Street from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and also from 1:00 pm until service time on Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to the Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
