
Caroline Walker was born on February 25, 1919 in Meridian, MS to Mr. William A. and Mrs. Mary M. Hobbs. Caroline graduated from Meridian High School, Meridian Community College, and attended MSCW. She worked for the Federal Government, where she accepted a position in Washington, D.C., Charleston, South Carolina, Biloxi, MS, and Meridian, MS.
On December 23, 1944, she married Mr. James C. Walker, Sr., from this union was born one son, Mr. James C. Walker, Jr. They resided in Meridian, MS, Biloxi, MS, Shreveport, LA, Jackson, MS, and Ridgeland, MS. She was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, Circle #3. Caroline was also a member of the Concordia Luncheon Club, where she belonged to several bridge clubs.
Caroline was preceded in death by her late husband, Mr. James C. Walker, Sr., and her son, James C. Walker, Jr., her parents, Mr. William A. and Mrs. Mary M. Hobbs, her two brothers, William A. Hobbs, Jr. and Mr. Martin M. Hobbs, Sr. Caroline is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends, and friends of Waterford Retirement Home.
Visitation will be at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland, MS on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Mississippi at a later date.
