

Charles William Maris, Jr., age 52, of Madison, MS died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson. Services will be at 12:30 PM on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church with Pastor Carl Kalberkamp officiating. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.
Visitation will be on Sunday, February 21, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on Highland Parkway.
Mr. Maris was born in Brookhaven, MS on April 25, 1957. He was a graduate of Meridian High School class of 1975, Mississippi State University and the Ole Miss School of Law. He was the Assistant Attorney General for the criminal division of the Attorney General's office Sate of Mississippi. He was a member of the Mississippi Bar and the Mississippi Prosecutors Association.
Mr. Maris and his family attended Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church. He was a kind, loving, patient, decerning, gentle and godly husband, father, son brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Stacy Maris, a son Will Maris, parents Charles and Kitty Maris. Two sisters Linda Perez and her husband Jerry and Margaret Terry and her husband Chuck all of Madison, MS. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Rick Dunbar, Billy Gore, Wayne Snuggs, Scott Stuart, Attorney General Jim Hood, Dr. Bobby Graham and Glenn Watts.
