
Charles Rodney Webster, 78, died Saturday October 15, 2011 at The Arbor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 18, 2011 at 11:00am from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Highland Colony. Visitation will be from 9:00am till 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home.
A Graduate as a Civil Engineer from the University of Houston, TX. He was founder/ owner of Key Constructors of Madison, MS., and Mr. Webster came to Jackson, MS in the 1950s to build Veteran’s Memorial Stadium and the Amite Street underpass.
Mr. Webster was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, member of the Madison-Ridgeland Rotarian, MS Road Builders Association where he served as President for three terms; he was Chairman of the Association of Contractors Licensing Board under Governor Kirk Fordice administration, a member of the International Rolls Royce Club, Studebaker Club, Auburn Cord Duesnberg Club and the Model T Club. Survivors include his wife Peggy G. Webster, Madison, MS; daughters, Lynn (Frank) Fillingham, Ridgeland, MS. and Pam Claypool, Clinton, MS.; sons, Chuck (Caroline) Webster, Spokane, WA. and Rick (Ann) Webster, Madison, MS.; step-children, Freddie, Andy, and Bill Dulaney; sister, Pat Renfroe, Plano, TX.; eighteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
