She was born to the late Willie and Thelma Minton on April 20, 1928, in Wesson, Mississippi. Doris graduated Co-Lin Agricultural High School in 1946 and attended Co-Lin Junior College.
She married the late Charles Edward Graves on November 11, 1951, and they resided in Jackson, Mississippi before relocating to Bolton, Mississippi in 1986. Doris is survived by her three children, Larry Graves, Faye Graves Fathalikani, and Glenda Graves Edmondson and her younger sister Inez Townsend of Columbus, Mississippi. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was a member of Robinson Street Baptist Church for many years and Raymond First Baptist Church for the last thirty years.
A service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park pavilion on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:00 am.
