Dorothy Rose Russell Weems, passed away on March 30, 2014. Mrs. Weems was born on November 15, 1920 in Macon, GA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Wright and Ferguson in Ridgeland. Service will be at Parkway Memorial Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00am. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas S. “Dutch” Weems. She is survived by her son Thomas S. “Tom” Weems, Jr. of Jackson, MS., daughter Elizabeth “Bette” Weems Weir of Denver, Co, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson and a resident of St. Catherine’s Village.
