Dunlap Peeples, Jr., 88, of Madison, passed away at St. Catherine’s Village on September 20, 2017. Dunlap was born in Jackson, MS, to Dunlap Peeples Sr. and Dorothy Powers. He graduated from Central High School in 1947 and attended Hinds Jr. College.
He retired from BellSouth in 1991 after 42 Years. His last position was as manager in the business office. He was a long time member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church and St. Paul’s.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joe D. and his wife Mary Elizabeth Peeples; his first wife and mother of his 6 children, Patricia Ann Meek; 4 of his children: Michael, Laurie, Philip, Dunlap III, and his second wife Shirley Rose Johnson. He is survived by 2 children: Dorothy Beach (Bill) of Nicholasville, KY and Eldon Peeples (Wanda) of Raymond, MS, 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:30am with the funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will take place at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery in Clinton after the service.
