Frances Lascaro Marretta

Frances Lascaro Marretta of Madison, MS passed away on Wednesday, March 17 at her home in St. Catherine’s Village at the age of 91. She was born and raised in Amite, LA to Anthony and Mary Dagro Lascaro.

She was the beloved wife of the late Vito V. Marretta of Independence, LA for 44 years until his passing in 1995. They were long-time residents of Amite and members of St. Helena Catholic Church before retiring in 1993 and moving to Madison.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked as a Medical Assistant for Joseph M. Brocato, M.D. and Gerald Forrest, M.D. in Amite for many years beginning in 1969 until retiring in 1993. After moving to Madison, she enjoyed working part-time in the Infant Room at St. Francis of Assisi Daycare where she was well-loved by parents, her co-workers, and friends. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. After moving to St. Catherine’s Village in 2008, she was a member of St. Catherine’s Circle and treasured the shared spiritual journey and company of her friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; son-in-law, William H. Inzer, Jr.; and her sisters, Ann Lascaro Accomando and Marie Lascaro Boyd.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Marianna White and her husband Bill, and Catherine Inzer; 2 grandchildren, Missy Inzer Amacker and her husband Phillip, and Matt White and his wife Erin; 5 great-grandchildren, Bryson and Case Amacker, and Abigail, Mason and Luke White; 2 brothers, Anthony Lascaro, Jr., and wife Margie, and Nick Lascaro; sister, Josie Shanks; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.

Services will be held at Parkway Funeral Home on Highland Colony Parkway in Ridgeland on Monday, March 22, 2021 with visitation from 1-2 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Tidewater Lane in Madison at 2:30 pm, and a graveside service at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
