Ray was born July, 2, 1947 in Starkville, MS to Lucy Brown Mullins and Harry R. Mullins Sr. and grew up in Jackson, Ms. He was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson, MS. He was married to Laura Laymon Mullins for 42 years. He spent 4 years in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant working in the nuclear missiles program at Whitman Air Force Base. He worked for many years for Klinger Electric and later formed his own electrical company. Ray enjoyed his restoration of his 1860’s home, civil war history, and restoring antique cars.
Survivors include his wife Laura Mullins, sister Betty Harrison (Jim) of Edwards, MS, nephew Mike Harrison and niece Kathy Johnson. Visitation will be at Parkway Funeral Home at 10am on Monday February 12,2018 with the service to follow at 11am. Burial will be at Parkway Memorial Cemetery.
