Helen Patricia Stewart Strum

Pat grew up in Gillsburg, MS and graduated from Liberty High School in Liberty, MS. She attended college her freshman year at Baylor University in Waco, TX and graduated from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS.

Pat lived in Jackson for over 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson where she sang in the choir, was active in Sunday school and WMU for many years. For a number of years she had been less active due to crippling battle with rheumatoid arthritis.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer S. Bunger, son-in-law David, two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Helen Bunger, one sister, Carol S. Moody of Louisville, MS, two brothers, William S. Stewart Sr., of Eupora, MS and Kenneth C. Stewart, Jr. and wife Jean Stewart of Gillsburg, MS.

The family would like to thank Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Tuesday April 6,2010 from the Chapel of First Baptist Church Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Monday April 5, 2010 from 5:00pm till 7:00pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Highland Colony, Ridgeland, MS and 9:30am Tuesday at the Church. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 3:00pm at the Gillsburg Cemetery, Gillsburg, MS.
