Jimmy grew up in Jackson and attended Jackson Prep. He lettered 4 years in football and received a football scholarship to Mississippi College. He spent most of his career as President of Etheridge Petroleum Equipment Co. He was currently Managing Partner of Etheridge Construction Co. His true love was writing and singing Christian music. Jimmy recorded several albums. He loved The Lord and touched many lives through his ministry. He loved his family. He is survived by his father, James Elwin Etheridge, Sr. and his mother, Shirley Patricia Etheridge, his sister, Elizabeth Duree Etheridge, his sons Will Joseph Etheridge and Zachary Price Etheridge and daughter Patricia Jeanette Parham and grandchildren, Ansley, Kolden, Raven, Lance, Bella and Lane.
Memorial services will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson, MS on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 3:00 pm, with visitation held prior from 1:00 pm until service time.
