Jean was born in Birmingham, AL on June 18, 1929 to Amelia Moulton Embry and Joseph Eugene Embry.
Jean married Clewis Clark and together they had two sons, Joe and Sam. She worked as an elementary school teacher for the majority of her life but ended her career working at Broadmoor Baptist Church preschool. She enjoyed quilting, reading, volunteering at her church and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Joe (Maggie) Clark of Hattiesburg, MS and Sam (Holly) Clark of Madison, MS; grandchildren, Mary Peyton Clark, Timothy (Hannah) Clark and Hannah (Tucker) Griggs; and great-grandchildren, Camden and Clara Kate Clark.
A graveside service will be held at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS on May 23, 2023 at 10:00 am.
