Jeanne A. Till

Sydney Jeanne Ashburn Till passed away March 28, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She was born in Jackson, MS December 29, 1931, to Isaac Newton Ashburn and Eva Alice McAdams Ashburn. A visitation will be held at 10:00 and a memorial service at 11:00 on Saturday, April 1, 2017, in the Chapel of Broadmoor Baptist Church.

Jeanne graduated from Central High School in 1949 and attended the University of MS where she met, Cameron. They married in 1951 and she wrote to him – “There is only one real love in a lifetime, only one that matters, that grows and that lasts forever…. in life…. in death… together, as one….”

She was an active volunteer for Hospice Ministries and Broadmoor Baptist Church, serving in the nursery and preparing bulletins for Sunday services. She also previously volunteered at the Hederman Cancer Center for many years.

She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, the Grace Sunday School Class, New Journey, Joy Luncheon Club, The 49ers Club and the Cosmos Luncheon Club. She served as the Administrative Assistant to the President of Raytheon Aerospace, now L3 Vertex Aerospace, for 19 years.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband, Cameron Till, Jr. and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Leigh (Walter) Williamson, son, Chris C. Till, granddaughters; Jennifer (Dan) Henry and Tysone Gray and great grandchildren; Sydney Caroline, Taylor Grace and Luke Henry, Brookelynn, Emory, Taylor Annette, Hudson Jack and Brailen.

Jeanne loved God, her family and her precious dog, Sugar. She enjoyed reading, needle work and gardening. Her favorite Bible verses are Galatians 2:20 and Philippians 4:13.
