Mike Hannon, a devoted outdoorsman passed away on March 2, 2025 in Gautier, MS. He lived a life filled with adventure, passion and generosity. He was always eager to share his love for nature with those around him.
Mike found his greatest joy in the outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, hiking or camping in the Rocky Mountains. His deep appreciation for history led him to Civil War reenactments, where he served as camp cook, bringing history to life with his dedication and skill. A patient teacher and loyal friend, Mike took great pride in passing down his knowledge of hunting and fishing to many family members and friends.
He is survived by his brother Mitch (Becky), nephew John Porter Hannon and nieces Kenzie Hannon Jones, Lizzie Hannon Russell, Caroline Hannon Shaffett along with many cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lolita Hannon and brother Kirk.
Rest easy Mike, may you forever roam the mountains you loved.
A visitation for Mike will be held Monday, March 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Parkway Funeral Home, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Parkway Memorial Cemetery, 1161 Highland Colony Pkwy, Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157.
