
Visitation is 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 2 at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 3 at the funeral home with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Graveside services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile, Alabama at 12 noon on Friday, March 4, preceded by a visitation at the adjoining Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 11:00 am.
Jack was born on March 5, 1924 in Gilbertown, Alabama. He was married for 63 years to the love of his life, Alice Peterson McLemore. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was the Regional Service Manager for Western Auto Corporation, but was most proud of returning to Millsaps College and receiving his degree in Psychology in 1989. He worked at Mississippi State Hospital in Whitfield, Mississippi until his second retirement.
He is preceded in death by his wife Alice, his parents, Lula Mae and John McLemore, sisters Nell Isbell and Dorothy Shuford and his daughter Patricia Ann McLemore.
Survivors include his daughter, Jackie Fagan, granddaughters Christie Meadows (Willie) of Pelahatchie and Mandy Mullins (Chris) of Arlington, VA, and brother Ed McLemore of Panama City, Florida. He is also survived by granddaughters Brittany Pittman and Lacey Pittman. He was also the happy grandfather to Bubba Meadows, Stephanie Meadows Martin and Tiffany Meadows.
