

Lucy Ann “San” ( Hailey ) Ferguson (Nee Edson ) of Jackson/ Ridgeland died suddenly December 10, 2010 at her residence. A life-long resident of Mississippi, she was born March 1, 1924, the child of David and Grace Edson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00am Thursday from the Chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Highland Colony. Visitation will be from 10:00am till service time. Burial will be at 3:30pm Thursday at Tupelo Memorial Park, Tupelo, MS.
Mrs. Ferguson was a career employee of the Internal Revenue Service in Jackson. She and her mother were active for years in the Children’s Sunday school at Broadmoor Baptist Church. Some years ago, she retired to the Orchard, in Ridgeland. She was a current member of Colonial Heights Baptist church. She enjoyed gardening and her friends and was known for the camellias she and her father raised.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mary Ethel Bennett, her first husband, Dr. James Hailey, and her second husband, Maurice Ferguson. She is survived by her niece, Jo Ann Bennett Thompson ( Barry), her great niece, Kathryn May (Alexander0, three great nephews, Christopher, David and Stuart Thompson (Heidi), and their children, her step-daughter, Jeri, resides in Jackson.
