Malcolm "Mike" Waren Jr.

Malcolm “Mike” Eugene Waren, Jr. a devoted father and son lost his life October the 26th 2013 leaving behind a testament to his quiet life as a simple man. As an avid hunter he gained his passion from nature and through it a lifelong bond with his father Malcolm, Sr and with his son, Robert. His daughter Kathryn and her husband Nick brought him two beautiful grandchildren; Riley and Kennedy with a third on the way. However it was his love for his wife Kathy that gave him his perseverance and strength.

Mike was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a loyal brother of the PI Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Following college he received his CPA and quickly rose in his field. However contentment was never an option and soon he left the comfort of a major CPA firm to enjoy his life through private consulting and accounting software.

In peace he joins his sister Eleanor Rose whose life like his was cut much too short. In life he leaves his wife Kathy, son Robert daughter Kathryn Turner and her husband Nick as well as his grandchildren Riley and Kennedy; his mother Helen and father Malcolm Waren, Sr. and his sister Katherine Newell and her husband Bob along with many cousins, family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Mike will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland at 3:00pm with visitation starting at 1:30pm. Interment will be at Parkway memorial cemetery.

The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers an honorarium be made to the Mississippi Public Radio in the Waren name.
