Martha was born in McKinney, Texas on November 3, 1934 to Nellie and Thelford Bergvall. She graduated from McKinney High School and earned a graduate degree from Texas University of Women.
Martha was happily married to James Frank Wheatley for over 69 years. They had two children Scott Wheatley and Lee Wheatley. Martha worked in the family business for years. She was also a founding member of Highland Colony Baptist Church. Her passions were keeping the babies at church and reading.
Martha is survived by her sons, Scott and Lee (Judy). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Shelby, Ross, Christopher, Bryce, Mark, Katherine, and Will. Surviving great grandchildren include John Walker, Charlie, Lillian, Archer, and Tait.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband, James Frank Wheatley, and her parents, Thelford and Nellie Bergvall.
