

Martin Holloway, age 86, of Brandon, MS, passed away at the VA Nursing Home on February 15, 2018. Martin was born in Midnight, MS on October 20, 1931 to Ida Bell and Stewart Holloway. He attended Silver City High School. Martin married Joyce Tompkins, and together they had three children, Wanda Sue, Mark Eugene, and Jackie Fay. He worked as a machinist/mechanic at General Electric for almost 30 years. He loved fishing and tinkering on cars. He was a member of McDowell Road Baptist Church where he faithfully served and worshipped for 40 years.
Martin is survived by his daughter Wanda Dulaney (Freddie): son, Mark Holloway (Jean), and daughter Jackie King (Terry). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Shandy Dulaney Nix (Brad), Tyler Dulaney McCoy (Ryan), Whitney Dulaney, Kaylie Dulaney, Wesley King (Rachel), and Brian King. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, Lily Nix, Colby Nix, and, Knox McCoy as well as siblings, Elizabeth Harrison, Stewart L. Holloway Jr. (Carolyn), and Cordell Holloway (Sara). Martin also leaves behind many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce T. Holloway, parents, Stewart L. and Ida Belle Holloway, siblings, LaVergne McDonald, Lewis Dow, Laura Scott Cannon, and Aubrey Holloway.
Funeral services will be held at Parkway Funeral home in Ridgeland on Monday February 19, 2018 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be earlier that day, February 19, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm. Burial will be at Natchez Trace Cemetery.
