Edward M. Thornton, 63 died Monday Nov. 11, 2013 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday Nov. 14, 2013 at 11:00am from the chapel of Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00pm till 7:00pm and Thursday from 10:00am till 11:00am.
Mr. Thornton was a member of Pinelake Church, Brandon, MS. He retired from Thornton Oil and Gas. He was an avid tennis player.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Karis Thornton and his parents John & Virginia Thornton.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Thornton of Brandon, MS., daughters, Dienna Moak (Pete), of Brookhaven, MS, Heather Smith (Jason), of Brookhaven, MS, and Jodi Boyd (Chris) of Madison, MS., eleven grandchildren, two brothers, John Allen Thornton JR. ( Caron) of Virginia, James William Thornton (Carol) of New Orleans, La, and four nieces.
Memorials may be made to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.
