Nellie Grace Reid Rogers was born a country girl outside New Albany, MS, where she developed an avid love of fishing. She married Bernard Rogers from Ridgeland in 1949. They raised their daughters, Gale and Pam, in Columbus where Nell was a realtor.
In 1986 they moved to Madison where their subdivision had not one but two lakes where she could hop in her golf cart and go fish to her heart’s content.
She loved her 3 grandsons dearly. She instilled in them the joy of fishing and of playing the card game Liverpool Rummy.
Her last few years were spent at The Waterford where she could be found playing cards or working a puzzle.
