Robert was born in Vaiden, Mississippi on November 2, 1920 to Hassie Mae and William Milford Armstrong. Robert married Ruby Floyd and together they had one son, Edgar Caldwell Armstrong. He worked as a superintendent at Knox Glass Company for 40 years, retiring in 1982. RC was a proud member of the Masons, serving as Worshipful Master at his Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of the Shriner’s.
RC was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife. He is survived by his son, Edgar and his wife, Leila, of Fort Myers, Florida.
Services for RC will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 3:00 pm, preceded by a visitation starting at 2:00 pm, at Parkway Funeral Home, formerly Wright & Ferguson, located at 1161 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland, MS, 39157. Interment will follow the service at Lakewood Memorial Park, 6000 Clinton Boulevard, Jackson, MS 39209.
