

William (Bill) warren Gilmore, Jr. died in his home, Raymond, MS June 15, 2014, surrounded by family & close friends, Charles & Gloria Williams. Bill was son of the late William warren & Gladys Lucille Mullican of Jackson, Ms.
Bill and wife, Frances Raises, were married 67 yrs. & 11 months. Frances was 11 & bill 14 when they became friends. Parents of two sons; Ronald wm, married to Esther sue Lumpkin, Steven Russell, married to Beverly Ann nelson. Grandparents of eight: holly Lou Gilmore Eutzler, Joshua David, married to Michelle Faye Huth, Jeremy Steven, married to Paula Jeannette barrios, Ronald wm., Jr. Michael Paxton, William Robert, Charles t. Warren, Steven alexander Gilmore. Great grandparents of six: Kelly Marie, riley grace & Brady Eutzler. Landon, Austin, Tage Gilmore.
Bill graduated from central high, Jackson, MS, and entered the air force during world war two, served his country and became catcher on service soft ball team with a reputation of speed & skill.
He returned to Jackson, MS at the end of the war to resume employment with the state highway dept. planning division and at nights designed & printed advertising material. He also attended Jackson commercial college & found time to be catcher on a local soft ball team. Soft ball was his love & hobby.
Bill and Frances moved to Shreveport, la where he became vice pres. of the frymaster Corp, attended centenary college, instructed dale Carnegie classes & was catcher on local soft ball team. (Ronald William. Born 1950)
After a few years, bill & his family moved to little rock, AK as director & instructor of the dale Carnegie basic & advanced sales courses.
From little rock he became involved in food service industry with Durnin-Rentzel manufactures representatives in Oklahoma City, ok. (Steven Russell born 1957). Here bill began his 50 yr. career in the food service industry. He developed an enduring love for the industry, especially with customers and dealers, who became lifelong friends.
In 1960 the family returned to Jackson, MS as partner in marketing agents south. Bill built strong, loyal relationships with school food service employees, supervisors, managers, cafeteria workers throughout Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida. Bill became one of the 3 principle owners of robot coupe, USA, Jackson, Ms. He deeply admired & appreciated the robot coupe USA employees with an enduring love, respect & appreciation that was mutual and never diminished when he retired.
Bill has always been active in church. As children, bill & Frances attended neighborhood churches receiving love and mentoring from stable, loving, sincere pastors & teachers from various denominations; Baptist, Methodist, Nazarene, foursquare, assemblies of god. As a Gideon he was privileged to speak in the same denominations. Bill was active in the Gideon ministry for over fifty years. He & Frances co-founded the way for today ministries, Inc., a nonprofit missions & benevolence outreach ministry. As president & co-founder of this labor of love, he never received monetary compensation but always faithfully contributed financially, especially to Latin America. Bill was 100% blessed by seeing others helped and blessed.
In lieu of flowers: the Gideon’s international, Nashville, TN: to supply bibles; 100% going to purchase: the way for today ministries, PO Box 1957, Brandon, MS 39043 - project: Ixil, Chajul, Guatemala, feeding malnourished school children. Supplying food, basic clothing, educational needs. 100% contributions will be used for this project. Ronny Gilmore, overseer of this project, is involved with needs of impoverished children & their parents in spiritual & educational development.
