Barbara Jean Corns

late Posey Lee Finney and Lena Walker Finney. She was retired after more than twenty eight years of service with Bassett-Walker. Barbara was of the Basptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Roger Corns, and two sisters, Vergie Finney and Helen Purdy.

Surviving are her husband, Curtis L. Corns, Sr., of the home, two daughters, Diane Pyrtle of Brosville and Renee Meeks Axton one son Curtis Leon Corns, Jr., of Axton,

two sisters, Louise Foley of Bassett and Lois Cassell of Collinsville, four bothers, Charlie Finney of North Carolina, Sam Finney of Canada, John Hall of Smith Mountain

Lake and Jesse Finney of Martinsville, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Sammy Caldwell officiating. Burial will

be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in the Community Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the

home.
