Ernest D. Taylor

Ernest “Rocky” Dexter Taylor, 49, of 117 Roselawn Heights, Martinsville, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Danville on December 1, 1961 to the late William H. Taylor and Nellie Bullins Taylor. He worked for Springs Textile before becoming disabled. He attended Temple Baptist Church

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his twin daughters, Brittany and Bridget Taylor and two brothers, William and Wayne Taylor.

Surviving are his wife, Stacey McGuire Taylor of the home, two daughters, Sierra Taylor and Felicia Taylor both of Bassett, three sisters, Teresa Barrigar of Laurel Park, Carolyn Ashworth of Axton and Diane Moore of Danville, two brothers, Danny Taylor of Mayodan, NC., and Alvin Taylor of Axton.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 in the chapel of Community Funeral Service of Ridgeway with Pastor Don Reynolds and Rev. Joseph Hamilton officiating, interment will be in Roselawn Burial Park.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Community Funeral Service and other times at the home.
