John Leroy Snyder

John Leroy Snyder, 91, of 4008 Mount View Road, Danville, Virginia, formerly of Largo, Florida, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at Roman Eagle Memorial Home in Danville, Virginia. He was born in Waterloo Idaho, on December 20, 1920 to the late Everett Snyder and Manila Greg Snyder. He was one of the founding members of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Largo, Florida and served during WWII in the Navy. John retired as a Supervisor with the Honeywell Corporation.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and Robert “Bob” Snyder.

Surviving are his wife of the home, Dorothy Mitchell Snyder, two sons, Dr. Gary Snyder of Danville, Virginia and Tom Snyder of Durham, North Carolina, two daughters, Mary S. Jones of Bedford, Virginia and Kathy S. Hewitt of Virginia Beach, Virginia, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Services for John will be private..
