Katherine Robertson Wilkins

Katherine Robertson, Wilkins, 96, of Martinsville and formerly of Ridgeway, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Blue Ridge Rahab Center where she was a resident. She was born in Stokes County NC on August 28, 1916 to James Harvey Robertson and Jessie Sapp Robertson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded death by her husband, Buford S. Wilkins; two sons, B.J. Wilkins and Johnny Lee Wilkins; two sisters, Violet Martin and Queenie Herrin.

Surviving are two sons, Gary Michael Wilkins and James Mason Wilkins, both of Ridgeway; one brother, Joseph H. Robertson of Stoneville, NC; four grandchildren, Heath Wilkins, Lynn Wright, Jason Wilkins, Justin Wilkins and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway with the Rev. Jack Foley and the Rev. Rick Wilkie officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at Community Funeral Services.
