
Lindy “Ran” Randolph Perdue, age 78 of Edmore, Michigan, formerly of Martinsville, Virginia passed away at his home with his family at his side on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Ran was born in Henry County Virginia on September 1, 1935 to William Teaue and Hessie V. (Joyce) Perdue. He was raised in the Martinsville, and attended Martinsville School. Ran enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Field Artillery from 1954 to 1957. On February 14, 1959, Ran married Leone M. Peterman in Kent County, she passed away in 1983. He was employed for several years at Martinsville Furniture Company and later at Kalvinator Refrigeration in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In addition to his parents and wife Ran was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Perdue; three brothers: Ed, Cam and Bill Pardue; and one sister, Nell Wheeler.
Surviving are his son, Wilson Randolph Perdue of Idaho, two grandchildren: Gregory Randolph Perdue of Edmore, Jennifer Lynn Perdue of Allendale; three great-grandchildren: Breanna, Mya and Ryleigh Perdue.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Community Funeral Service Chapel of Ridgeway. The family will receive friends Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (2 hours prior to service) at the funeral home chapel
