

Thelma Wann Dudley Hodge, 88, of 139 Sweetbriar Drive, Danville, died Monday, January 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Abington, Virginia on October 5, 1924 to the late Benjamin Brown Wann and Emma Lola Combo Wann. She was retired after thirty six years with Dan River Mills as a weaver. Thelma was a member of Forestlawn Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her foster mother, Lillian Powell, her first husband, James R. Dudley and one son, Kenneth “Kenny” R. Dudley.
Surviving are her husband, James David Hodge of the home, two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry C and Diane Dudley of Danville and Randy L and Patricia Dudley of Schoolfield, one brother, Jack M. Wann of Greensboro, North Carolina, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 in the Abby of Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Rakes officiating, the family will receive friends one half hour prior to services and other times at her home at 139 Sweetbriar Drive, Danville, VA.
