Ada Lucile (Lou) Armstrong Harter, born in Ohio on April 15, 1927, passed on to be with Our Lord on May 24, 2016. She was twice widowed and preceded in death by her husband’s, John L. Armstrong, and Joseph M. Harter, both military veterans. Ada worked as an administrative assistant with the USAF and USDA after moving back to Riverside and retired in 1995. Ada was an active member of her sororities for over 60 years. Ada, often referred to as “Lou” loved spending time with family and her many friends. Ada is survived in death by sons, John L. Armstrong, Jr., Lance J. Armstrong and Joseph M. Harter, Jr., two grandsons, Joseph M. Harter, III and Jonny M. Harter, granddaughter, Lanna M. (Armstrong) Kreck, and two great granddaughters, LeeMarieL. Kreck and Kiriana V. Harter. A celebration of Ada’s life will be held on June 9, 2016 at 11:30 a.m., (viewing 10:30-11:30) at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Joseph M. Harter, at Riverside National Cemetery
