Antonio E. Uribe was born in San Ygnacio, Texas on January 13, 1925. He was the oldest of five children. He grew up in Laredo, Texas and enlisted in the US Navy Submarine Division during WWII. After the war, Tony married Josefina Soliz and moved to California. They raised two children, Tony & Elena. Antonio worked for Sears for most of his career as a mechanic and repairman. He had four granddaughters whom he loved dearly. Antonio loved to tell stories about his family history and submarine life. He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a hand or an ear. He made an impression on everyone he met and deeply cared about the people in his life. He passed away at the age of 88, having lived a full and happy life. He is now at peace in heaven with his beloved wife.
