With deep sorrow and even deeper gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord, Barbara Rhyne, who peacefully fell asleep in Christ on the morning of July 8, 2025.

Barbara was the cherished wife of Jimmy Rhyne, a devoted mother to her three children, Emily, Ruth,& Regina and a loving stepmother to four, Shalonda, Darlene, Kim & Darius. She was a proud grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother to many more — all of whom were blessed by her boundless love and constant presence.

She was the steady anchor of our family — strong in spirit, gentle in heart, and unshakable in her faith. Her belief in God was not something she kept to herself — it was her way of life. Through every joy and every pain, she held tight to God’s promises and shared His word with others, not out of obligation, but out of pure, genuine love. She spoke her truth with grace, lived by faith with courage, and poured out kindness without hesitation.

Even in her most difficult moments, Barbara radiated peace. She had no fear of what the Lord had planned — only trust. Her confidence in God's will was both comforting and inspiring to everyone around her. She reminded us that strength is not loud or forceful — it is steady, rooted in belief, and lived out with grace.

She touched more lives than she ever knew. Through quiet conversations, heartfelt prayers, warm embraces, and her unwavering presence, she left a mark on every soul she encountered. Her love was sincere, her faith unshakable, and her spirit deeply cherished.

Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on — not just in her children and grandchildren, but in every life she uplifted with her compassion, faith, and light.

Barbara leaves behind her loving husband, Mr. Jimmy Rhyne; her beloved children Emily (Derrick), Ruth (Harold), Regina (Kenneth), Scholanda, Darlene, Kim, and Darius; grandchildren Jimmy (Quiana), Dihna (David Sr.), Treyvon (Cheniece), Daevon (Paula), Tylier (Delonte), Kainan, Derrick Ozell, Sierra, Derrick Jr., Jamir, Aljinee (Alazar), Shaiann (Bryan), Jasmine, Nicole, Rashanda, Simone, Reona, Elijah, and Imani; and twenty-three cherished great-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by her brothers: Lincoln, Ronald (Agnes), and Russell (Patricia); her sisters: Linda Paris, and Cynthia Arkliss (Ellis); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Emily Bessent; Her sisters Bunnie and Elaine; and her grandchildren Ronald, Kailyn, and Charles.

A celebration of her remarkable life and faith will be held on July 25,2025 at 11:30am at 1150 Arlington Ave, Riverside CA, 92505.
