

Booker Theordore Laster, Jr., 64, of San Bernardino, CA transitioned from his earthly temple to his mansion with the Lord on September 17, 2020. He was born on February 3, 1956 in Panama City, FL to the late Booker T. Laster, Sr. and the late Toncie Willa Lewis. He accepted Christ at a young age. He joined the U.S. Army after high school serving as an Army medic. Booker continued to serve and help others after an honorable discharge by working as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for over 35 years. Booker enjoyed singing, cooking, Westerns, and church.
He first married Almenia and to this union two beloved children were born, Tomeka and Theordore. Many years after his divorce, he married Darlene who had two children of her own, Richard and Eliza. Darlene preceded him in death in 2008. In 2017, Booker was blessed to find Valerie. Their friendship and love grew strong over the next 3 1/2 years until his passing.
Booker leaves to cherish his memory his beloved fiance, Valerie Curtis of Adelanto, CA; two children, Tomeka Laster of Tallahassee, FL and Theordore Laster of Panama City, FL; five bonus children, Valencia McMillan of Sacramento, CA; Darryl Curtis of Victorville, CA; Brian Curtis of US Army, Texas; Michael Curtis of Adelanto, CA; and Valeria Curtis of South Bend, IN; one grandson, Tovelle Laster of Tallahassee, FL; 9 bonus grandchildren; four sisters, Rhodea Martin (Robert) of Charlotte, NC; Maryannie Hughes (Monroe) of Stone Mountain, GA; Clara Alexander (Hollis) of Laurelton, NY and Juanita Lewis of Pensacola, FL; one brother, Harry Tolbert, Jr. of Chipley, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Claude Lewis.
Private services with military honors will be held on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 11:00am.
