

Charles Edward Williams (aka Chico), was born on January 12, 1956, in Mansfield, OH, to the late Ben, Sr. & Frances Williams. He was called home to rest with the Lord on May 20, 2020, in Los Angeles, CA.
Charles was a stellar athlete & Champion in various sports at Mansfield Senior High school. He participated in wrestling, cross country (track & field), and also pursued boxing. In 1974, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. During his time in the service he became an expert Marksman & sharp shooter, maintained athleticism in wrestling & boxing, and long distance running. In addition, he received good conduct, and was honorably discharged as Lance Corporal-NC Officer.
Charles resided in Jacksonville, Florida for many years. He coached many young athletes in the boxing arena. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service & later retired after 23 years. It was at that time he looked to the west and set his sights on Los Angeles, CA (The City of Angels), to start a new chapter in life.
Charles will be dearly missed by his family & friends. He is survived by two children; Daughter - Sylvia Taylor (San Pedro, CA) and Son - Travis (Erise) Felder (Jacksonville, FL) & two grandchildren; Eden Rose and TJ. His Sister; Ruby (Charles) Flemming and Brother; Ben (Teresa) Williams, a special Aunt; Linda (Willie) Bailey, all of Mansfield, OH, as well as his nephews & niece and a host of cousins, Aunts & Uncles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings - Walter Williams, Ernestine Williams & Shirley Mosley & nieces; Demetria Mosely & Canice Williams.
Funeral services will be held on July 6th, 2020, at 11:30 am in Riverside, CA at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary & memorial honors will be conducted at the Riverside National Cemetery.
