Connie Rochelle McCormack also known as “Nin” went to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2016. She was 70 years old. Waiting for her there are her mother, Cleo McCormack, her father, Jasper Cleo McCormack and her sister Rebecca Dukellis. She lived in Temecula, California for the last 28 years and that is where she passed away in her home. She was born in Los Angeles, California. She leaves behind so very many people who loved her which include her sisters Bonnie & Larry Roberts, Mary & Don Carpenter, Lana Prosser and her only brother Dannie McCormack. She also leaves behind her nieces, Vicki Carvalho-Knight, Sheri Flasch, Karri Master, Kelli Hulsey, Lori Hulsey, Mandy McCormack and nephews Greg McCormack and Randy Prosser. Then there were the great nieces, Andria Giafaglione, Peyton Hulsey the love of Nin’s life and great nephews Bradley Giafaglione, Chase Charter and Coty Lee Carter.
Connie “Nin” was woven into our lives and placed everyone before herself. The people she loved, she loved them fiercely. She was funny, eclectic , quirky and filled our hearts and life with joy. She would chase someone down to tear a tag out of their shirt. She was such a part of us, until she was unexpectedly taken from us far too soon. She will live on with us, in our memories of her. She loved her menagerie of animals, Gracie her shar pei, Ollie, Kate, and Jessica her cats and Hissy and Scatter her chameleons that keep her going from the time she got up, until it was time to go to bed. A day won’t go by that we don’t yearn to sit out on her porch and laugh, joke or sometimes have disagreements. Nin, you left us a lifetime worth of memories but we wish there could have been so much more.
In lieu of flowers, please vote for Trump, she would have wanted that.
Death is nothing at all. It does not count. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again. ~Henry Scott Holland, Christ Church Oxford 1910
