Born in Hudson, South Dakota to the parents of Robert Oakes and Della Teresa (Johnson) Duncan. Donald grew up on a farm in Hudson, South Dakota. Married Dianna Strehlow on September 24, 1957. Moved to California in 1960 and had lived there ever since.
Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Donald spent his working life at Safeway, Montebello Fire Department, and his business, Duncan Tax Service. He loved spending time with family, gardening, camping, traveling (especially to South Dakota), and spending time with his wife at their cabin in Big Bear.
Donald is survived by his brother James Duncan, three children, Rodney Duncan, Laura Albrecht, and Katherine Hubach, and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
