

Donna Cooney was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was an upstanding member of her community and touched the lives of many throughout her 81 years. She had a passion for studying the bible, camping, flyfishing, golfing, stamping, and traveling. Donna made significant contributions to UCR as a department administrator, to the 163rd Air National Guard family support group as an organizer, to Marcus Daily Hospital as a member of the Board of Directors and a proud member of PEO. She was also a marathon runner and instructor for Weight Watchers. Family and friends will remember her as an extremely intelligent, well spoken, family oriented lady who pursued all her endeavors whole heartedly.
Donna enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially during the holidays and the summertime. Our family had many traditions and created many memories together that will forever be cherished by her loved ones. Donna happily gave unwavering support and encouragement to her friends and family. She was extremely proud of her son, grandson, and all of her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed long conversations over coffee discussing current events, the bible, politics, and everything going on in the lives of her family. Donna was an avid reader of mysteries, history books, and the bible, and enjoyed being a member of the Grove Community Church for over 40 years. Donna was a gifted painter who spent hours throughout the years painting landscapes and loved stamping with her friends here and in Montana. She also adored and lovingly cared for her many dogs over the years.
Donna was a dedicated wife to her husband Patrick for over 50 years until his passing in 2015. They met through their church in Tucson, AZ while attending high school and spent many years serving their community. They raised one son together and enjoyed traveling, camping, and especially enjoyed going on cruises with her friends. Donna is survived by her son Kevin, his partner Holly, and her beloved grandson Diego.
Donna leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will be carried on by her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
