ELIZABETH "SUE" COURY BROWN or Nanny Sue to most, passed away Monday, the 2nd day of January in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve. She departed us at her Riverside home of more than 30 years, in her sleep, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Moving to Riverside in 1982, from Norco, she continued to raise her 15 children in the Riverside community and remained here the remainder of her life. Left to fill the void of her immense compassion and loyalty, are her brothers and sisters; her children, her grandchildren and extended family; her church; her YWCA of Riverside; her RCH Auxiliary, her friends. You all brought a profound happiness to her life that she thanked God for every day-usually five to twenty-five times-a-day, in fact. Nanny Sue, or simply Mom, left behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and faith. She loved God. She loved her Love, Bartholomew Brown, whom she has joined in eternal life. She loved her family and friends. She loved to travel. She loved crosswords, sight-seeing, dancing, reading, Danny's Bulldogs, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She loved going to her children and grandchildren's activities. She did not love TV. She loved full moons. She loved her community and was proud of her family. She will be remembered for her endless generosity and love of life. She was a saint on earth. Mom you will be tremendously missed. Her legacy is left to live on in her community of family and friends, in eternal memoriam. Love God, Be Kind, Be Healthy, DANCE. Sweet dreams. God Bless you. We Love You. SERVICES: Rosary to be held at Saint Catherine's Catholic Church, Riverside, CA. on Friday, January 6th, 2012 at 3:00 PM; Funeral Mass immediately follows rosary.
