I first met Liz back in 2001, but didn't start working with her until about 2003. Liz was a take no bull type of person and always got things done. 
What I loved most about Liz was her generous heart, compassion for others, and her never ending faith. I still have many of the items she gave me over the years. In particular, one Christma, I was not expecting anything from her, but she came up to me with a small package. Inside was a package of hot coco, a very small whipping utensil and an Angel figurine.  I still have my angel at my desk, but I drank my coco and the whipping utensil is at home and my Nick uses it often. 
I was lucky enough to know Liz for some 15 years, so many memories: Las Vegas, work, San Manuel on New Year's Eve the list goes on and on. 
Liz will always be in my heart and her gift of friendship will always be cherished.  Rest in Peace Liz

Tia, may your soul rest in peace; I know your battle here on earth was a long one, and one fought bravely. Only faith in God will fill the void by the loss of your presence. Thank you for being a wonderful aunt to me and my siblings; you've touched many lives and shaped many futures for the better. Your memory will not be forgotten.

Hey Elizabeth, my heart is broken and sorrow for your departure. But, I am also happy to see that you are no longer suffering with this horrible disease that you have been battling it for such a long time. You are now sitting on the right hand of our great FATHER that has taken all your pain away, you are now if PEACE and a beautiful place where there is NO MORE Suffering. You are now our ANGEL watching over us and with a smile. I sure will miss your unique laughter,I will cherish it for many years to come. Love you mija, and see you soon

Dear Elizabeth, I can still look at your desk and remember your comments of the day and of course the sweet pinneapple bread you use to give me (from El Salvador) You are going to be missed but you are always going to be at that desk for me. You are in a better place now and hopefully that thought would help your dear family to heal, my thoughts and prayers are with them.

Words can hardly express the deep sadness I feel with the loss of your mother.  As a co-worker and good friend over the past 16 years, I can truly say it was a pleasure to have gotten to know her both in good times and in bad.  Her sincere and kind approach to life's challenges both humbled and inspired me over the years and I will truly miss our conversations.  
I could go on describing your mother's wonderful qualities but you three already know them better than any of us! In time, when you remember your mother, I am confident that you will still find strength from her.
Please keep in touch in the years to come.  I feel well invested in all of you through your mother's conversations over the years about just how much joy she found in her children and grandchildren.

Heaven has gained an Angel and I lost a friend. I will always cherish the fond memories that we shared working together. I'm glad I was able to speak with you a few days ago. I'm glad I was able to tell you, "I love you my friend." Now you are free of pain. Rest in Peace my friend. You have touched so many lives. You will truly be missed but not forgotten!
