I remember Liz as a friend who was always upbeat.  Even when things were not going perfectly in her life, she was never really down.  She didn’t ask  for pity but remained positive. 

Liz was resilient.  Whether it was a broken bone or another injury,  or the disappointment and frustration of losing her driver’s license, giving up her house or saying goodbye to her dog “Honey,”  Liz found a way to regroup and carry on. 

Liz was never boastful. Even though she had played on a women’s soccer team, walked up Mount Rubidoux on a regular basis, and organized a  way to have her sister’s name on a memorial bench on Mount Rubidoux, these accomplishments rarely came into her conversation.  She remained matter of fact and never showed exaggerated pride.

I loved the little chuckle in her voice when she was telling about something endearing or comical.  She always made my day brighter when I was with her. 

Liz had such a sparkle in her eyes when she talked about her grandchildren and their antics  or accomplishments. She also showed pride in her sons in an understated way. 

Even when she was no longer able to communicate her thoughts and feelings through words, her eyes acknowledged her appreciation of our friendship. 

Liz is still close to my heart. I miss her.

Brian and Brad,
I haven’t seen your mom in years, but I have never forgotten her. She was a good friend and we had so much fun playing soccer together!
I am very sorry for your loss. She loved you boys with her whole heart!!💜

Rest in Peace Aunt Liz you'll always be the cool aunt in the family. Brian and Brad so very sorry for your loss I will miss her deeply.
