
Frances R. Gomez, 83, of Navasota passed away Monday morning July 28, 2014 at Golden Creek Nursing Home in Navasota, Texas. A Rosary is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. Wednesday July 30, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, followed by visitation until 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be at 10 A.M. Thursday morning at the Funeral Home with Reverend Ryan Higdon officiating. Additional services and burial will be at the Pierce Bros.- Crestlawn Memorial Park and Mortuary in Riverside, California.
Frances was born to Jacinto Limas and Encarnicion Garza on September 7, 1930 in Smeltertown, Texas and grew up in El Paso. She married Robert Cotten in 1950. She and her family moved to Riverside California in 1954. She was a homemaker and retired after 25 years as a Teacher's Aide in the Riverside School District in California. She was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church and moved to the Navasota area after her retirement.
She is survived by four daughters, Felicia Ash and her husband Keith of Navasota; JoAnn Cotten of Riverside, CA, Diane Simmons of Colorado, and Margaret Kepler and family of Williams Port, Pa; one son, Jackson Cotten of Bryan; one brother Jacinto Limas, Jr. and wife Gloria of El Paso; two sisters, Angie Bonilla and husband Mario and Nina Limas all of El Paso; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends
