George R Hall

George Hall, 82, of Riverside, California, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026. He was born on April 26, 1943, in Honolulu, Hawaii, just 16 months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, to George R. Hall and Irene Violet Kealanahele.

George married the love of his life, Nancy, at KeOlaMauLoa (“Everlasting Life”) Church in Kamuela, Hawaii, on the Big Island. The church held special meaning for his family, as his great-grandfather once served there as minister.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Hall of Riverside, CA; his children, George (Michelle) Hall of Washington, Tanya (Derek) Embry of Florida, and Joseph Hall of Minnesota; and his stepdaughter, Terri (Tom) Crowder of Oregon. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many beloved step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. George is further survived by his sister, Trenda Chong of Kamuela, Hawaii; three nieces; and one nephew.

George spent his early school years in Hawaii and attended several schools on the mainland, graduating from Thunderbird Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. He continued his education at Arizona State University, La Sierra University, and other colleges in Southern California.

Throughout his life, George built an impressive and distinguished career. He proudly served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division, earning the rank of sergeant before his honorable discharge. He went on to serve as a police officer for the City of Glendale, Arizona, and later as a youth counselor for the State of California at the Youth Training School in Chino. George dedicated more than 30 outstanding years to the City of Riverside Fire Department, where he rose to the rank of Division Chief before retiring. In retirement, he embraced life fully, showing the same dedication and enthusiasm that marked his professional career.

George will be remembered for his strength, service, devotion to family, and deep love for those around him. Not a day goes by that he is not loved and deeply missed.
