

Gerald was born in Deuil-la-Barre, France on February 11, 1950, to father Fernand Eugène Seys and mother Paulette Alice Antonio. The oldest and only son of six children. He was preceded in death by his wife Luisa Seys, his sisters Ghislaine, Noelle and his father Fernand. He is survived by his mother Paulette, his sisters Maud, Dominque, and Corrine; children Nathalie Seys-Correa, Paul Seys, Dominique Seys Lemus, Alain Seys, Anthony Seys, Christina Angeles, Jaqueline Barret, George Seys and Matthew Seys; and seventeen grandchildren.
At the age 18 years old he moved to California to stay with his aunt Lea and met his wife Luisa at the age of twenty-three and four years later they married civilly in Los Angeles, California 1977. He was Catholic and always proud of his European origins, culture, and food. Food being his passion and his career, he graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France and became a top Executive Chef making the local news, winning consecutive awards as a humanitarian, and always helping others when in need. He had a contagious smile, loved hosting themed parties and telling jokes. Gerald Seys passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the age of 72. After several months of declining health, Gerald died peacefully with his children by his side.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 7944 Magnolia Ave, Riverside, CA 92504.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
