Riverside
Grace was born in Santa Ana, CA. Her family moved to Riverside in the 1930’s where she attended and graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School. Grace married Frank Corbin Adams on August 20, 1941. When Frank entered the Army in November, 1942, Grace followed him across the United States to all of the training sites to which he was assigned prior to going to France during World War II. When Frank returned from the war, Grace and Frank settled in Riverside where they lived throughout the remainder of their lives.
Grace loved bookkeeping and made this her career. When she retired she and Frank traveled in their motorhome with their dog Dinky throughout the United States. They also traveled to several places in Europe. In retirement Grace also spent many years as a volunteer bookkeeper for the Riverside Community Hospital Auxiliary accumulating over 6000 volunteer hours. Grace lived a wonderful 101 years. She remained active days before her death.
Grace is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents Sherman and Ruth Holmes, her brother Donald, and her great granddaughter Emily Jane. She is survived by her son, Douglas Corbin, spouse Jane (Gallagher), grandson Christopher Corbin, spouse Paula (Leivas); great grandson Austin Corbin, spouse Makenna (Begger), granddaughter Pauline Elizabeth Beschorner, and great granddaughters Madelyn Elizabeth and Kaeli Nicole.
Services will be held on June 6, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Acheson and Graham mortuary followed by her burial service at Riverside National Cemetery.
