Helen Puga Galvan was born in Alberhill, California, the daughter of Jesus and Magdalena Puga. Helen spent her early childhood in the village of Alberhill and lived in the greater Corona-Riverside area her entire life. She spent most of the summers of her childhood traveling up and down the state, helping her parents in the fields, picking everything from artichokes to zucchini. After graduating from Corona High School, Helen worked hard, got her education, and ultimately became one of the most successful real estate agents in Riverside County. During her 46-year career in real estate, she earned numerous awards and accolades. One of her greatest joys in life was helping young families purchase their first home. Helen retired from real estate in 2022 at the age of 90.
Helen is preceded in death by her beloved son Randy, as well as her brothers Manuel, Jess, Joe, Jerry and her sister Connie Puga Rodriguez. Helen is survived by Alfred, her loving husband of 68 years, her daughter, Dr. Olivia A. Galvan, her daughter-in-law, Lecia Elzig, as well as her siblings Carmela Munoz and Margarito Puga. Helen was the cherished ‘Tia Nena’ to her many nieces and nephews.
