

Hilda Camacho peacefully passed away in Riverside, California on October 31, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Holtville, California on September 19th to Ysidro and Feliciana Mazon, she was the youngest of 7 children. Her family lived and worked on a Ranch, farming. During the early 1940s, her family relocated to Los Angeles where she attended St. Joseph Elementary and Washington High School. At the age of 17, she met her future spouse, Raymond Camacho, and later married on April 16, 1955. They began their journey together as an Air Force Family and were stationed throughout the United States and Panama (all while raising and packing-up 6 children with each move); finally settling in Riverside in 1973. Once settled in Riverside, Hilda worked for Riverside County for over 22 years.
Hilda was an avid reader, often reading at least 2 books simultaneously. She was also blessed with the gift of music which was shared by singing with her sisters, children, Skylarks, and church choirs. She passed her love of music to all her children and grandchildren. Hilda was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s Newman Center where she sang in the choir and served as a Lector.
Hilda is survived by her children: Cecilia, Richard, Christine, Gilbert (wife Shannon), Robert (wife Holly), and Raymond; grandchildren Robbie, Rhianna (wife Serena), and Ray. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Rudy; cousin and childhood friend, Aida; and 37 nieces and nephews. She was preceded into Heaven by her beloved husband Raymond, her mother and father, all her older siblings and sisters-in-laws, along with all their spouses.
Rosary/Mass, Internment and Reception will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10:00 am – 4 pm at St. Andrew’s Newman Center, 105 W. Big Springs Road, Riverside, CA 92507.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Braille Institute or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
