Joe was a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, Navy vet and most importantly father and grandfather. As the youngest of eight siblings, Joe is survived by his three brothers, Juan, Orlando and Miguel and four sisters, Blanca Estella, Teri, Christina and Annie. Above all else in life, Joe cherished his family. He was a proud father to his two sons Jake and Joshua Casas and found the ultimate joy in being a grandfather to Lucas Casas—a title he held with the greatest pride and with immeasurable love, joy and devotion. His love for his family extended to his daughter-in-law Alexandra Casas, whom he warmly and whole-heartedly welcomed into his life. His family was his world and meant everything to him. He lived for them.
Joe loved his big breakfasts, had a passion for sports whether he was a spectator, played in softball leagues or coaching Pop Warner and Little League teams. He was an upmost enthusiast for all things USC especially football. He enjoyed football pools, the sports book and supported fundraisers for many people in his life. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his sons. Known for being generous and having a good sense of humor, Joe brought laughter with his jokes and kindness to those around him. He was strong and courageous in mind and heart throughout it all.
May Joe’s legacy live on and the memory of him be kept alive by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
