

JOHN HENRY KRAMER John Kramer, a long time resident of the Lake Mathews area, beloved father and grandfather, died on Sunday, May 30th, 2010 from complications of a brain aneurysm. John was born on a farm in Strasburg, ND on Nov. 18, 1940 to parents Joseph and Elizabeth Kramer. When he was 19 he joined the Marines and was stationed in Camp Pendleton, CA. He served on active duty for 4 years and the reserves for 2 years, earning a good conduct medal. John then married Joan Thompson and had a daughter, Dyan. They lived in Costa Mesa, CA for many years before relocating to Lake Mathews, CA. John and Joni divorced, but remained friends. John started and owned many local business; his favorites include Lake Mathews General Store, Hytech Engines, Fibertech Fabrications, and Main Street Market. John was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was also an expert horseman, who loved to trail ride and team pen. He belonged to the Brea Mounted Posse and the Riverside Rancheros. John loved to cook and entertain; he would personalize a meal from 4 to 100. Everyone who met John was impacted by his kindness, he would always try to help someone in need. His family and friends will miss him greatly. Survivied by his daughter, Dyan Kramer-Poss and her husband Tim, their daughter and his granddaughter Porsche, and his former wife Joni Gray. As well as brothers, Pete Kramer (ND), Gene Kramer (ND), George Kramer (CA) and Andy Kramer (ND). He has 5 lovely sisters, Rosemary Wolf (ND), Johanna Martin (ID), Kathy Nagel (WI), Betty Welk (IL) and Theresa Phillips (WI). He was preceded in death by his brother, Al Kramer (ND). Memorial Service 06/07/10, 12 noon at Acheson & Graham Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at 1:45pm, Riverside National Cemetery, Stage Area #4.
