John....I had no idea you passed...So very sorry to read this news...You were a real character...Thank you for your stories...Thank you for being you even thou sometimes I wanted to fight you!!Lol..Thank you for the laughs and thank you for the memories...You will be deeply missed my friend!!! My great friend John Mayo. Going to miss him. He was the most knowledgeable about collectibles. We would laugh at the craziest things and I will always hear and remember his voice forever. I met him in 2009 when arriving to the Brindle property in Huntington Beach. He was good friends with Ron Brindle who introduced us. They were about the same age and I am in my mid fifties. I got along with them like brothers and Loved and respected them both as family. They are both gone from us now but will always remain with me as "fighting Angels" They were highly influential people and John taught me a lot about collections of antiques, wagons and also very much so, about people !  He was the koolest cat and his age at 83 , he looked in his 60s. My biggest regret is that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. See you in a bit John . Condolences to your family. 

I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. My name is Fred DeFelice and John and my father was very good friends. I came out to California in 1979 and John and I became very good friends as well. I have been calling him on occasion for many years and I'm sure we spoke sometime shortly before his passing. My prayers for John and the family he left behind. I have many fine memories of times I spent with John. He had a big heart and always had the greatest stories. I will miss him dearly. John Mayo was a great friend of mine. Blessings
